Pueblo, Colorado  -- Hispanic Chambers from across the state met with Governor Bill Ritter this past Friday (January 25th) to talk about issues pertaining to immigration, education, economic development, Latino Community support, legislative issues, and many others.  Four members from the newly formed group “Voces Unidas” a subcommittee of the Lamar Chamber of Commerce attended the forum and were able to share best practices and ideas with other Latino Chambers in the state.

Robert Vazquez – Vice Chairman of "Voces Unidas" commented:

“We learned a great from other Hispanic Chambers around the state and were able to walk away with valuable information.  The vision of our organization “Voces Unidas” also fits well with that of other Hispanic Chambers in Colorado.  We learned that all Latino Chambers share one common goal and that is to make our communities better. Overall, we have a new generation of leaders in Lamar and we want to see this community grow together.”
